Overview
The goal of this project was to digitally transform the ArtsQuest collection of websites through rebranding, redevelopment, content migration and company-wide process upgrades.
Site Audit
The original ArtsQuest website had become too busy and cluttered. The decision was made to break out the content over multiple websites.
Data Field Identification
Identify and organize content and data types needed for new website platform and calendar app.
Platform Upgrade
Upgrading from a homemade website builder developed by a previous developer to a WordPress driven environment allowed for the division of content and code.
Content Process and Migration
Organized a team and process to help aggregate content and data into the new system quickly and efficiently.
Content was stored in one repository and shared across all sites.
Relaunch
All 7 sites were relaunched simultaneously.
UX and UI components were kept consistent across the sites. Each were able to be re-skinned for a unique but similar look yearly or seasonally.
Results
This project was completed with many external and internal vendors within six months with no noticeable dip in ticket sales.
Pageviews have increased from 6.5 million across all 7 sites in 2012 to 9.8 million in 2015.
The department was trained to use HTML and structured a team and process workflow to continue updating the site.
